We're two mates — Paul (originally from England, living in Melbourne for over a decade) and Paul (born and bred in Perth) — who teamed up to lend a hand where it's needed most.
Removals Paul
A dad, originally from England and now a proud Bayside local. Left the corporate world to build a business that delivers great service without the hassle — helping people move everything from a single couch to a full house.
Handyman Paul
Originally from Perth, now based in Beaumaris. Leads our handyman division and is the go-to guy for TV mounting, picture hanging, furniture assembly, touch-up plastering, painting, repairs, and all those jobs you've been meaning to get around to.
Why we started
It started as a simple idea that's grown into one of Melbourne's most trusted moving and handyman businesses — built on hard work, reliability, and genuinely caring about our customers. From single items to entire homes, offices and events, we move it all — but it's how we do it that people remember. We go the extra mile, keep you smiling (and maybe even laughing), and make your move surprisingly enjoyable.

Paul was made redundant from his corporate sales director role in March 2024 — “done with corporate life,” he wanted to make his own decisions and run his own race. He started doing removalist work on Airtasker with a leftover van, trolleys, and gear from an old event-hire business. “It's difficult when you start out because you haven't got a profile. But a bit of perseverance and someone gives you a chance, you get your first five-star review, and then you're off.” His mate Paul Goldsmith joined in, and Better Call Paul was born.
